Experiment Management

Flight Experiment

Experiment Management solicits and coordinates candidate small payloads on a continuing basis. This experiment brokering function is required to maintain the status of candidate payloads for a potential mission, and to assess priorities and technical compatibility, leading to an Agency selection process for a given mission.

This includes developing a database to collect and maintain a comprehensive list of small payloads and experiments compatible with Falcon and small ELV launchers.

Experiment Management will also serve to coordinate and facilitate the payload integration and testing processes.

Wallops will leverage its experience and best practices from the former Shuttle Small Payloads Office and Educational Flight Projects Office in performing these functions.
