The Black Brant V is a single stage, solid propellant vehicle, which can achieve an altitude of 250 km with a 500 lb payload. The vehicle payload configuration is a standard 17.26 inches and is recoverable with either an ORSA or an Aft recovery system. Payload length is limited to 250 inches; weight is limited to 1,400 lbs.
