Black Brant V


The Black Brant V is a single stage, solid propellant vehicle, which can achieve an altitude of 250 km with a 500 lb payload. The vehicle payload configuration is a standard 17.26 inches and is recoverable with either an ORSA or an Aft recovery system. Payload length is limited to 250 inches; weight is limited to 1,400 lbs.


The videos are Satellite Tool Kit (STK) representations of aa Black Brant V, one launched from Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) and one launched from Poker Flat Research Range (PFRR) in Alaska. Shown is the launch with radar and telemetry tracking, the full trajectory of the vehicle, as well as stage events and apogee. The time step of each video is 0.50 seconds.
