Low-Cost Launch Vehicles

Another key element of SLVR is low-cost space access. The objective is to leverage use of small launch vehicles capable of placing approximately 1000-2000 lbs. into LEO for approximately $5-10M. A number of vehicles are currently in the development and flight test phase.

The long-term SLVR goal is for NASA to leverage emergent commercial small launch vehicles in order to support routine, low-cost, small payload missions.
