Participants may enjoy a full size recreation room within the MEC training facility. Fully equipped with a pool table, foosball tables, a shuffleboard table, a ping-pong table, a 64" projection screen TV, Sony Play Station, Karaoke, and much more. Participants may also enjoy the NASA Wallops Fitness Center & Gym, tennis, bicycling, and beach located at the + Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge on Assateague Island. Participants may also enjoy weekend activities on Chincoteague Island, including shopping, museums, movies, etc. Catch a glimpse of the wild ponies and numerous species of waterfowl or visit the historic Assateague Lighthouse on Assateague Island. Both Chincoteague and Assateague Islands are approximately 10 to 15 minutes driving time from the MEC. |

| Golf courses, bowling, and areas of historic interest are also within close driving distance of the Wallops Fight Facility. Charter and rental boats are also available on nearby Chincoteague Island. |
