Guest Services


The MEC provides many services in an effort to ensure that our visitors stay with us is as comfortable as possible. Here are just a few more services available:

 
Reservations

The MEC an be reserved by NASA personnel only. + Contact the MEC for reservation details or to reserve your event.
 
Mail


NASA HQ and GSFC Pouch mail is available. The pouch mail and regular postage mail is picked up twice daily by WFF mail guards. There is also a full service U.S. Post Office located behind the MEC training facility.

All incoming postal mail should be addressed to the individual at:

Incoming mail addressed to participants will be placed in participants individual mailboxes located in the lobby areas of the first and second floor of the MEC training facility.

Participants who wish to access their email can do so using the NASA WEBPOP service. Participants are asked to bring their email username, password and pop sever when they come to the MEC. The MEC staff does not have this information.

Participants from Goddard Space Flight Center will not be able to use the NASA WEBPOP program to access their email because of the firewall. These participants will need to bring a laptop with dial-up access to check their email, or the MEC staff can assist wiMarch 10, 2008 11:23ants. However, by using this option, participants run the risk of losing any mail that is left on the GSFC pop servers or that is downloaded while at the MEC.

 
Medical & Emergency Services


There is a Health Unit located at Building F-160. The Health Unit is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Certified Emergency Medical Technician's are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the Wallops Flight Facility Fire Station, Building B-129.

Participants can be reached at the MEC training facility by calling 757-824-1016 during regular business hours. After hours, participants can be reached directly through their rooms or through the Flight Facility Main Gate at 757-824-2222. The Security Officer at the Main Gate will take a message and attempt to contact the participant to relay the message. Participants should inform anyone who might call with an emergency of their dormitory building and room number.
