The Management Education Center has been established as a result of the need for a systematic agency-wide effort to develop managerial resources.
The MEC provides the focal point for conference and meeting support services to the Agency Training and Development Office, Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), and Langley Research Center (LaRC).
The MEC is operated by a professional conference support staff whose role it is to help NASA program managers, facilitators and coordinators plan and execute the perfect event, seminar, training activity, conference, workshop, organization development activity or meeting. The MEC staff handles all the details of event planning so the program managers can focus on the big picture details of their event. The MEC staff coordinates meeting support services, logistics, conference/training rooms, on-site and off-site meals and refreshments, technology support, on-site and off-site lodging, and recreation activities. The MEC also provides cost estimates for events held at the MEC. In short, the MEC's dedicated conference staff takes the burden out of planning off the shoulders of the program managers so that they can concentrate on the program, attendance, agendas, sessions, speakers, and schedule. |
