Second ~27 m Balloon Test

  • Test inflations took place on July 31 and August 1, 2007
  • Inflation process was the same as the standing inflation from the previous test
    • Balloon hoisted to full height
    • Injection of proper amount of Helium
    • Fill out structure with air
  • 55 degree lobe angle at the equator
  • Balloon easily and fully deployed at a very low differential pressure (~2.5 Pa) both times
  • Balloon was slightly pressurized to 50 Pa and was stable
  • Initial photogrammetry results are very favorable with both gore shape and global shape obtained
