Code 802: Advanced Projects Office

The Advanced Projects Office is the primary interface for prospective organizations interested in conducting projects or using the products and services provided by NASA/Wallops Flight Facility. In this capacity, we:

  • Address questions concerning capabilities and feasibility of a potential activity
  • Provide guidance concerning steps necessary to pursue activities
  • Facilitate administrative processes necessary for conducting activities at Wallops

Additionally, the Office leads and/or participates in:

  • Proactively seeking out potential business opportunities
  • Developing materials used to promote Wallops capabilities
  • Establishing and improving business practices
  • Soliciting customer feedback and addressing issues or concerns
  • Maintaining knowledge of government and industry activities that influence Wallops
  • Managing commercial project relationships
  • Providing policy guidance to Wallops senior management and supporting organizations
  • Providing Wallops project and facility strategic planning
  • Addressing issues that cross NASA/Wallops organizational boundaries
  • Representing Wallops to a wide variety of external organizations
