  • Flight Safety / RSO Training Course

The Flight Safety / RSO course is a comprehensive coverage of flight safety philosophy, analytical methodologies, and operational practices at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility. The primary objective of this course is to thoroughly familiarize the student with these concepts. It is similar in content and complexity to a college course and is primarily directed towards the person who will be performing flight safety work on a regular basis.

Due to the high demand for this training, the Wallops Flight Facility Safety Office will be offering this course annually each March/April through 2005 and probably beyond. The exact dates of the course will be posted when known. While nominally a one month class, it can be divided into two segments of approximately two weeks each depending on the composition and interests of the class.

For more information on this course or to reserve a slot in a future class, contact Ben Robbins at: Phone # 757-824-2097 or email  Ben.C.Robbins@nasa.gov
